Future of Archeological Heritage Offices in Italy<\/h2>\n

The Italian Ministry of Culture is doing radical reform of the system which protects the cultural heritage. Without any internal discussion the structure of the Ministry is rapidly changing, with the latest decree the Archaeological Heritage Offices are to be eliminated. We are furthermore worried about the future of the rescue archaeology as the code of the public contract is under review without involvement of the technicians of the Ministry.
