Science Education Day-children’s interviews with scientists
—
“Science Education Day” takes place every year on 14 March. The aim of this international day of action is to raise awareness and emphasise the importance of science education. Various initiatives take place around the world on this day, bringing together scientists, teachers, schoolchildren and the general public to awaken or deepen interest in scientific topics.
Expert interviews at the archeoParc
To mark “Science Education Day”, we would like to present a small collection of audio files in which children interview scientists. These audio stations are an integral part of the permanent exhibition in the archeoParc visitor centre. Primary school children have interviewed scientists about their respective specialisms and exciting conversations have been held between the experts and the children. Be inspired by the children’s questions and the scientists’ answers and discover how exciting and diverse science can be!

Why is Science Education Day celebrated on 14 March?
A little side note: “Science Education Day” is celebrated every year on 14 March because this is Albert Einstein’s birthday. As one of the greatest scientists of all time, he contributed significantly to the development of modern physics and his legacy is honoured on this day. It is the ideal opportunity to emphasise the importance of science education and celebrate Einstein’s passion for science.
